If you've ever assembled an oscillating fan, this will be easy. No instructions required, but it comes with good instructions.
The whole fan and kit is actually pretty cheap. The plastic will flex if you push too hard. The fan shroud is very thin, stamped wire mesh.
If you run this at maximum speed, the motor will get a little warm, but there's not really a need for that.
We run these at low speed and they're very quiet, and the 5 blades move a lot of air.
These cost about the same as the similar style fans we used 20 years ago in my parent's house. As such, I fully expect these to be lower quality and to fail shortly after the warranty.
But for now, we leave them off when not in use, and we get everything we need out of them. We're very happy, and feel we've gotten exactly what we expected.
