(More customer reviews)I have had this unit installed for about 3 weeks now. Overall I am very happy with it. I recieved the unit 4 days sooner than expected and in good packaging and condition. The items were as advertised, with the exception that it actually came with 25' of line, not 15'. Installation was not difficult. Although the instructions were not always clear; a liitle common sense and looking at the parts usually worked fine. (The instructions could use a proof-reading by someone who actually speaks english and preferably knows something about A/C, but the were better than many translations now days).
The unit cools my 350 SQ FT bonus room and 500 SQ FT garage way quicker than the A/C in the house cools the house. My only complaint is that the fan will never turn off in the Auto or Cooling modes for some reason. The A/C will kick off but the fan won't. In the Heat and Dry modes the fan kicks off once the room reaches the appropriate temperature. It is a little frusterating as I have to turn the unit off if I don't want to waste energy when I'm not in the room. The unit's saving grace is even though it has been about 100 Deg. F lately, it will cool the room to around 78 deg in about 8 minutes, so it's not a problem to leave it off when I'm not using the room.
The precharged system and purgeable lines work are an awesome idea and work great! The is absolutely no need for an HVAC installer or any specialy tools or equipment. I would say that is one of the key features of this system.
I would certainly reccomend this unit, even though it appears that the price has increased $400 USD since I purchased it a couple months ago. It is still a good value.
