(More customer reviews)I just received my bandannas and was a little skeptical and was ready to return the package when I saw what the bandannas were like. The Miracool website states, "Encased within each MiraCool product, made of colorful 100% cotton, are super- absorbent polymer crystals." When I unfolded the bandannas and felt them, I felt NOTHING between the fabric. There was a TINY area where it was slightly raised at the seam but I thought that was just shoddy craftsman work on the part of the tailor/machine. I decided to soak one and see what happens. Ten minutes later I checked and the thing had swollen up to the point it displaced the water in the cup and spilled on the counter-top! Wow! I checked again after 20 minutes and decided to try it out. Now, obviously, this thing is wet so I wrung out the water from the last 4 inches of each side and squeezed the swollen area slightly to get rid of excess water. The swollen area (center 5"-6" was uneven so I squeezed slightly to redistribute the swollen polymer crystals. I have it wrapped around my neck now, as I type, and it is definitely cool. I tucked the ends of the bandanna inside my shirt and pinched the tips under my sports bra to secure it. I would not recommend wearing this with business/formal attire. It works great for sports activities or for casual use. I got this to keep cool on hikes since I have Multiple Sclerosis and need to avoid overheating. I would recommend soaking only the center 5"-6" to keep the ends dry and one may get away with wearing it with business attire. One way to soak only the center would be to fill a plastic cup halfway with water and submerge the center in the water while leaving the ends draped over the edge of the cup. I'm glad I bought a variety of colors and can't wait to actually use them on a hike. Miracool claims it'll stay cool for 2 days as long as you rotate sides every once in a while. We'll see...

Simply hydrate in cool water for a few minutes, then wrap around neck.
